Starting to plan the event of the year?
Spring is just beginning and whether you’re a high-end event planner, or just love organising the BBQ of the year, now is the time to do it!
Planning an event from scratch seems like hard work, and it can be, so be sure to start planning weeks or even months in advance. That last thing anyone wants to be doing is running around in a panic when there are just a few days left! The first thing you should do is to figure out what your event is for? Is it for a single person? A group of people? Or is it just for a bit of fun? Be sure to have a clear goal in mind and to work around the meaning of the event. The location of the event is equally important, whether it be professional or personal, you need to be sure to choose a suitable venue depending on the situation.
Next you should decide what your budget as a whole is going to be, and then allocate parts of the budget to certain parts of the event. Be sure to leave a little left though, just in case of a last minute emergency!
One of the most important things when planning an event is selecting the people who will help you, and delegating tasks to them so you won’t be swamped with everything. Make sure to be clear with them when telling them what they’ll be doing to help plan, so there is no confusion and nothing gets forgotten.
And last, but certainly not least, is the brand of the event. The brand of the event will be the first thing anyone will see, so obviously this is quite an important part. You must choose a name for your event, its tagline, and design a logo that you’re happy to represent what you’re planning. It needs to stand out, to catch people’s eyes, and be entertaining or professional depending on what you want, along with keeping the message of whatever your event is going to be about.
Before you know it the event will be underway, all that’s left to do is to enjoy yourself as well as the sun, for however long it may last!
